SCAD cash

SCAD Cash

Project done for Color Theory class. Prompted to create a form of currency, I decided to create a physical version of the digital SCAD cash. The goal was to create a currency that represented SCAD, using symbols and colors associated with the university

I decided to base my design off of the US $10 bill

When deciding who to place on my SCAD cash, I chose Paula Wallace, the founder and president of SCAD. I created this money effect from a photo of her using Photoshop

I began by removing the existing text and symbols of the US Dollar, and replacing them with SCAD symbols and text

The 2852682 and 72826624 are text codes for Atlanta and Savannah, two places where SCAD has campuses

Next I added the number 40 in the four corners, symbolizing the 40 years SCAD has existed. I also added some bees, the mascot for SCAD

Lastly I added the SCAD 40th anniversary car, and the honey dripping from the top as some extra symbolism
